“…I believe in kindness. Also in mischief.

Also in singing, especially when singing is not necessarily prescribed.

As for the body, it is solid and strong and curious and full of detail; it wants to polish itself; it wants to love another body;

it is the only vessel in the world that can hold, in a mix of power and sweetness:

words, song, gesture, passion, ideas, ingenuity, devotion, merriment, vanity, and virtue.

Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable.”

The human mind is vast, expansive and fascinating, and for as long as we have drawn breath on this good green earth, we have been creating art, music and telling stories.

We tell ourselves stories too, which shape our lives.

How we see the world depends on our interpretation of it. It is wholly subjective and based on our core beliefs, which is why two people can see the same scenario totally differently.

The way we interpret our lives, and what’s happening to us, determines our story.

So, what do you believe?

Here’s the secret: your innate raw potential, the essential self within you? THAT never changes. It’s your limiting beliefs, your thought patterns and habits that get in the way and prevent you from seeing it. Beliefs like “I’m not good enough” or “I can’t follow my dream because I have to pay the bills”. And don’t even get me started on procrastination. That’s a whole other post.

Can you think of a limiting belief, thought pattern or habit that’s preventing you from stepping into your joy, blocking you from your bliss? Is it serving you? Or is it taking up space and preventing that which nourishes you to flood in?

Identifying your limiting beliefs, habits, thought patterns and obstacles, the things that are preventing you from Being, is the first very important step.

Don’t be too hard on them though – they were there for a time to teach you something. So acknowledge them, embrace them fondly, thank them for the lessons that they shared, and move on. #thistooshallpass

Letting go of them is necessary in order to make space for that which nourishes you. Nourishing beliefs, habits and thought patterns around peace, abundance, prosperity, like “I am enough” or “I am trying my best” or “I could do that, I just have to try” or “there’s enough for everyone”.

They say when you change the things you look at, the things you look at change – I’m on a mission to move mindsets, to shift perceptions so that more and more people can stand in their fullness of being and stand in their truth to bring clarity, purpose, fulfilment, joy and creativity into this world.

Today is another day in the story of your life. What story will you tell yourself today?

Just remember to keep some room in your heart for the infinite possibilities of you, always.
